School and Community

Outreach, alumnae relations, fundraising and marketing are all key elements to an independent school’s sustainability. These areas rely on managing and promoting the school’s reputation in a way that is consistent with its vision, mission and values, and that all groups involved with the school feel engaged and committed to its strategic direction.

For this Standard, a school must show that the constituent relations, communications, and fundraising programs of the school are well planned and effective, serving the stakeholder audiences and engaging them in achieving the school’s mission. As well, the school has established systems and procedures to maintain harmonious relationships with the community in which it exists.
